Hobos Mandolin

This is a players grade, or “good” grade 1955 Gretsch 6121, which is the solid body version of the 6120 with a serial number of 165xx. This specific example has been completely refinished except for the top of the peghead, there were also 3 holes drilled that look to be for additional control that have since been plugged. 13 1/4″ wide, 1 11/16″ nut, and 24 1/2″ scale. Mahogany body with “G®” brand, the sides are trimmed with the leather “Cowboys and Cactus that is also on the Round-Up. Mahogany neck with a Rosewood fingerboard that also has the “C&C” inlays. The tuners are replacements but all other hardware including the Dynasonic pickups and fixed-arm Bigsby appears to be original. OHSC
